Dosbarth Coch

Round and Round the Garden

Nursery have been learning Nursery Rhymes such as Humpty Dumpty, Incy Wincy Spider, The Grand Old Duke of York and 5 Little Speckled Frogs.

When we arrived at school on the first day of term we discovered Humpty Dumpty had fallen off the wall in our yard! Did he fall or was he pushed? This incident led us to our STEM activity-finding out the best material to protect and egg if dropped. We also built walls for our own Humpty Dumptys using different construction materials. Click on Humpty Dumpty to sing-along!

‘Two little Dickey Birds’ and the story ‘Owl Babies’ encouraged us to look for different types of birds in school and at home as part of our Seesaw Homework. We made cheerio bird feeders to hang on the trees.

For the Sparkle Day we discovered some frogspawn in our tuff spot! We have been observing the spawn every day and now we have some tadpoles! It has helped us to learn all about Life Cycles, One of our favourite counting rhymes is ‘5 Little Speckled Frogs’, We act out the rhyme whilst wearing our frog hats! Click on the speckled frogs to sing-along!

At the end of our Topic we hope to visit Cantref Farm to see the animals and feed the lambs. We might even have a visit from Old McDonald to our class!

REMINDER - Please visit seesaw regularly for daily activities and updates. Thank you
